Mine has 708 unread right now. I’ve subscribed to a few newsletters that I thought that I’d read. And, I signed up to do a few surveys to make a few spare bucks (very few, I must say. Poor pay for the time invested). Before I knew it, I was leaving too many emails unread and the number is still growing, I think.
If I had not filtered the emails that I got from Facebook (yes, I am on FB. Not sure why) to show as unread, I might have several more added to the list. I am working on a system of categorizing my mail according to its type and content so that I can manage it easier. If I learnt he easy tricks that work, I’ll share them here.
I won’t promise a fresh post in a few days. It could be a few more months before I “pick up the pen” again. At least it was an excuse to update my plugins and blog engine (my gawd, this is FAST hosting). Taa taa.
Haha… fast hosting indeed. Anyway, I thought you decided to give up on blogging completely, just by the fact you hadn’t posted in so long.
I was wondering about that, myself. I may have a new reason to write. We’ll see how that pans out. I should have kept more in touch with you, as well – not only because you’re my server admin.
Call me OCD, but I can’t leave unread messages in my email inbox. Drives me up the wall.
Whenever I register for something, or enter a contest that I believe is legit. I will put the name of the company or site @macbrosplace.com and have the e-mail forwarded from my web host.
That way when they start spamming me I know who it’s coming from, especially when they sell my address to another company when they say they don’t (could take something like that to court ya think?) I can just remove the e-mail from my forwarding e-mails list and never hear from them again.
Look forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve for future posts. It’s been very quiet in here. Look at all this dust all over everything!
OH, and I forgot to answer your question – I don’t have any unread messages. I’m like DL, can’t leave em’ unread.
I don’t get a lot of e-mail anyway.
I hate these semi-spam mails as well. They keep piling up. Luckily I got myself a new e-mail for my official purposes which I haven’t given out to anybody except work contacts. Gmail can hold all my junk.
