So, today is supposed to be Earth Day, a day that some lobbyists succeeded in having named as today. I haven’t seen too much press about it this year. I don’t see nearly as much chatter about it on internet social networks either.
Google has changed their logo for the day to commemorate, but that is Google’s thing – changing their logo on even the most obscure event.
I am not going to do anything special to “celebrate” Earth Day today, as I already treat each day as it is. I’d like to think that the lack of mention of this “occasion” is because the rest of the world has also concentrated on living with less consumption every day, as well. Somehow, I doubt it.
Earth day. What a joke. I tromped around in the earth today, as every day, lately… gardening.
I didn’t do anything different. I didn’t even bother to post about it. It’s just another day like any other day to me.
I hope that’s because you live every day with the Earth in mind.
No one did anything about Earth Day. There are too many manufactured “Days”. Google UK had their logo set to a St George image.
What are you supposed to do on Earth Day anyway? Is there cake?
We have this nonsensical “Earth days” and “Earth hours” because of a few fashionable idiots who think that turning off their electrical appliances for a few hours will stop global warming.
We are already suffering from power shortage in our state and we get enough power cuts already without having to volunteer any more thank you!
