Another email joke I just had to share:

Amazing and Simple Remedies

1. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent
you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the
snooze button.

2. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives,
then you will be afraid to cough.

3. Clumsy? Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by
getting someone else to hold them while you chop away.

4. Avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat by simply using the sink.

5. For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and
bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins.
Remember to use a timer.

6. Have a bad toothache? Smash your thumb with a hammer and you will forget about the toothache.

Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life
really are.

You only need two tools :
WD-40 and Duct Tape.
it doesn’t move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn’t move and does, use the duct tape.
Remember :

Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

* If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You get another chance.
And finally, be really nice to your family and friends;  you never know when you might need them to empty your bedpan!!!

I got this in an email. Neat pic.

If its yours, let me know so that I can attribute you.

It looks like this weekend may be pased with a long bout of laziness. I don’t have any serious plans except to conserve and try to make it to payday, when I can pay the rent and overdraw the bank account again. The family is not going to be doing anything outlandish or extrordinary this weekend. We’ll be flying below the radar, for the most part. I may catch a movie on the tube or may not. If its worth bothering with (or if its popular and it sucks) I will review it for you as well. Who knows. Maybe I’ll comment on Ripa and Richards. Maybe others have beaten it to death. Whatever.

“I wish that the whole world would hold hands and DANCE!” –Abigail Thompson (2006)

courtesy of WikipediaI watched Casino Royale last night and I really enjoyed it. It had all the classic 007 elements. There was action and a bit of gadgetry. This movie was sufficiently modern in feel to be appealing to today’s crowd as well. I say this as (pull)it had a similar feel to Mission Impossible III(/pull), with a difference. This film did depart from the usual Bond in that the gadgets were fewer and the action was greater. Daniel Craig is the 5th? James Bond? I think that he does a great job as 007.There is nothing o estimate on with this guy. Yahoo! thinks its a B+. What do you think?

Unfortunately, I am going to have to comment out the code that generates the great gravatars until the server they’re hosted on becomes a bit more reliable. I can’t have the pages load as intolerably slow as they are. I have a fast cable connection and the pages are loading like on a 14.4 dialup modem. That’s not fair to those who are silly enough to read my stuff. Perhaps I’ll put up a local version instead. Cya in a while Gravater.

I found this in the mailbox yesterday when I got home at lunch time.  It was a card from Abby.

Abby Luvs Me

Abby: “Daddy, I want you to hold my hand.”

Daddy: “Is that because you love me?”

Abby: “Yes.”

Abby: “(pull)I wish that the whole world would hold hands and DANCE!(/pull)”

Caleb Luvs Me

I got this in the mailbox last night.  It was from Caleb.  Click the thumbnail to see more detail (same goes for the one Abby did).

He went the extra mile and designed an envelope for it:

Caleb made an envelope

What do you say when you receive that kind of expression from your kids?

I can’t seem to get logged into Yahoo! Messenger, either through the messenger client or the web messenger.  Mail seems to be down as well.  The Yahoo! home page and my Rogers Yahoo! portal seem to be up, but the real meat and bones are “Unavailable”.  Perhaps this will be short lived.
